The final conference of the project „Light Me Up! – Language Lessons for Abroad“ took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, on October 7th, 2010, in the presence of representatives of the Lithuanian Ministry of Science and Education, the Lithuanian National Agency (Education Exchange Support Foundation), the Language Teachers’ Association of Lithuania, the Lithuanian Association of Adult Education, etc.
“Light Me Up! – Language Lessons for Abroad” was invited to take part in a language event entitled “Survival Bulgarian for Traveling”, held at the Embassy of the United States in Sofia, Bulgaria on July 14th, 2010.
The presenters aimed and achieved to introduce visitors to four of the least spoken European languages: Bulgarian, Czech, Dutch, and Lithuanian.
The Dutch pilot course took place in Znanie Association in the period 14 – 19 April 2010 and was led Anna Krasteva.
The language promotion was held at the Tourism fair FOR TRAVEL 2010, which took place within the set of tourism fairs called FOR FAMILY 2010.
The language promotion at the Tourism Fair in Sofia, Bulgaria had an enormous success. The event was held in the National Palace of Culture (NDK) within the Tourism Fair “Holiday and Spa Expo 2010”.
The language promotion at the Tourism Fair in Vilnius, Lithuania had an enormous success. The event was held in the LITEXPO Exposition center within the Tourism Fair “Vivatur 2010”.
152 participant companies from 21 countries were presenting their services in the fair. 15000 people visited the Tourism fair in Vilnius.
The Tourism Fair in Utrecht took place from 12th till 17th January 2010. On the first day of the fair the hosting partners Pressure Line and Rotterdamse Volksuniversiteit held a presentation at the stand of the project.
On the 4th of November 2009 a Tourism Fair, organized by the students of the Tourism Department of InHolland University of Applied Sciences took place at the aula of the school in Rotterdam.
